Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (i) Patients who were diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) based on the modified New York criteria; (ii) severe kyphosis; (iii) complete medical records and imaging data were available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (i) Patients who had spinal kyphosis accompanied by good flexion, no need for osteotomy to improve kyphosis; (ii) Patients who suffered from severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, coagulation abnormalities, mental health disorders, or other conditions that could impair rehabilitation; (iii) patients who could not complete the follow-up; (iv) The socio-demographic or imaging data were missing.
