WH group:Participants first conducted a trial with white rice as breakfast, followed by a trial with highland barley-multigrain rice as breakfast on different days.
HW group:Participants first conducted a trial with highland barley-multigrain rice as breakfast, followed by a trial withwhite rice as breakfast on different days.

18 Years to 50 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged between 18 and 50 years and having a normal BMI between 18.5 and 25kg/m^2; (2) Capable of tolerating at least 8 hours of fasting.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Suffering from any metabolic diseases (such as diabetes, hypertension); (2) Taking any medications known to affect glucose tolerance and digestion (such as glucocorticoids, thyroid hormones and thiazide diuretics); (3) History of food allergy to ingredients (glucose, highland barley, white rice, brown rice, oat, corn grit and buckwheat) used in study; (4) Ppregnant or breastfeeding.
