Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (i) patients with BM originating from primary cancers of the lung, prostate, breast, kidney, bladder, or liver; (ii) individuals whose primary cancer was their first and only diagnosis; (iii) patients aged 18 years or older at the time of their primary cancer diagnosis; (iv) patients diagnosed with BM between 2010 and 2019; (v) patients with BM at diagnosis without any metastases to the liver, lungs, or brain.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (i) diagnosis not confirmed microscopically; (ii) cancer diagnosed only at autopsy or on a death certificate; (iii) diagnosis with T0, indicating that no primary tumor was identified, or with non-invasive tumor stages Ta and Tis owing to small sample sizes; (iv) unknown status of PTS; (v) unknown status of metastasectomy (MS); (vi) incomplete follow-up data
