Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects included patients 18 years of age or older, ASA physical status (I-III), and undergoing surgery for hemorrhoids.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Contraindications to subarachnoid block and the presence of contraindications to nerve block (1. Systemic infection; 2. Skin, injection site, ischiorectal space, rectum, vagina or perineum infection; 3. Coagulation disorders; 4. Immunocompromised patients; 5. Block regional metastatic cancer; 6. lack of understanding or cooperation with nerve blocks), allergy or intolerance to amide local anesthetics, previous allergy or family history of allergy to anesthetics, or hemorrhoid surgery within 12 months before randomization or participation in another study involving randomization 6 months prior
