Group A (intervention group):On the second day after surgery, the catheter was closed for 2 hours before the catheter was removed and 2000ml of water was drunk
Group B (control group):The urinary tube was extracted directly on the second day after surgery

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with rectal cancer by pathology; 2. Primary rectal cancer 2-5 cm from the dentate line below the tumor; 3. The patient was to undergo total mesorectal resection for rectal cancer; 4. Patients gave informed consent to participate in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a history of urinary tract malignancy, a history of chronic indurating catheter, a history of chronic kidney disease of more than 2 stages, an IPSS score of symptom scale of prostatic growth >=8, a history of neurogenic bladder, a history of chronic urinary tract infection (UTIs), or a history of cardiopulmonary or other heavy water intake; 2. Patients with a previous history of lower urinary tract surgery, perioperative epidural catheter placement, symptoms of urinary tract obstruction, or ureteral stents.
