Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ICU admission criteria: age =60 years old; Those who meet the relevant diagnostic criteria of critical illness in the Guidelines for Diagnosis and Management of Common Critical Illnesses; Patients with septic shock and respiratory and circulatory failure caused by non-communicable infectious diseases; Patients with severe acid-base and electrolyte disorders; Related complications caused by cardiovascular and cerebrovascular sequelae affect patients with vital signs; Terminal hospice care for patients with serious basic diseases and malignant diseases. 2.GICU admission criteria: Meet the ICU admission criteria, but the patient or (and) family members explicitly refuse to be admitted to the ICU and agree to be admitted to the geriatric intensive care unit (GICU).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with extremely critical condition and high treatment expectation. 2. GICU medical conditions cannot meet the needs of patients for diagnosis and treatment. 3. Patients and/or family members refused to stay in GICU.
