Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. the gestational week was 28 to 31+6 weeks, 2. the PICC was needed to be placed assessed by the physician, and was placed for the first time; 3. within 24 hours of birth.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. suspected or confirmed genetic chromosomal or metabolic disorders; 2. complicated congenital heart disease screened by Doppler echocardiography; 3. critical ill, screened for score for neonatal acute physiology-perinatal extension ? (SNAPPE-?) higher than 37; 4. major haemorrhage any or above as assessed by the modified WHO bleeding assessment score; 5. anatomical abnormalities requiring neonatal surgery, or detectable abnormalities in vascular development; 6. hypercoagulable blood states such as erythrocytosis; 7. thrombocytopenia <100×109/L; 8. life-threatening infections, such as infectious shock; 9. coagulation abnormalities requiring clinical intervention.
