Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Individuals with at least one lateral ankle sprain and two episodes of ankle instability (the first sprain occurred at least 12 months ago and the most recent sprain occurred at least 3 months ago); 2) Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT) score less than 24 3) Ankle Ability Scale (FAAM-ADL) score less than or equal to 90% 4) Ankle Ability Scale Athletic Version (FAAM-S) score less than or equal to 80% 5) All participants have performed at least 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise at least 3 days per week for the past 3 months
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Subject has not had contralateral healthy ankle injury for at least 6 months prior to testing; No one was undergoing rehabilitation for an injured ankle before starting the testing procedure; The injured ankle did not have any symptoms of pain, swelling, or functional limitation during the test or during the time of participation in the study. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, be able to give informed consent, claim to be healthy, and have no lower extremity musculoskeletal injury within the past three months. Participants are excluded if they are pregnant, have a current illness/unresolved condition, or have any neurological, musculoskeletal, or cardiopulmonary impairment. The subject scored more than 8 points on the Fear of Sport Scale (TSK).
