Interventions

Common radial artery sheath+saline:A 6F common radial artery sheath was applied with an injection of saline via the sheath
Common radial artery sheath+spasmolytic:A 6F common radial artery sheath was applied with an injection of nitroglycerin 200 ug and verapamil 2.5mg via the sheath
Glidesheath Slender sheath+saline:A 6F Glidesheath Slender sheath was applied with an injection of saline via the sheath
Glidesheath Slender sheath+spasmolytic:A 6F Glidesheath Slender sheath was applied with an injection of nitroglycerin 200 ug and verapamil 2.5mg via the sheath

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. age >= 18 years; 2. patients undergoing cerebral angiography via the radial artery; 3. subjects or legal representatives able to sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Negative modified Allen's test 2. Poor liver function 3. Acute myocardial infarction 4. Grade II or III atrioventricular block, sick sinus syndrome, significant bradycardia (heart rate =50 beats/minute), ventricular tachycardia 5. Atrioventricular bypass tracts (e.g., pre-excitation syndrome and Lown-Ganong-Levine syndromes) combined with atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation 6. Severe congestive heart failure (ejection fraction 100bpm, uncontrolled tachycardia 8. Severe anaemia (haemoglobin <90g/L) 9. Sildenafil citrate within 24 hours 10. Intravenous beta-blockers within 24 hours 11. Patients with cerebral oedema and increased intracranial pressure within 24 hours to 2 weeks after stroke 12. History of coronary artery bypass graft surgery and absence of the right radial artery as a "bridging vessel". 13. Severe dermatomusculoskeletal deformity of the forearm or other reasons for failure to complete radial artery puncture and sheath placement. 14. Allergy or contraindication to verapamil or nitroglycerin 15. Glaucoma 16. Women who are suspected or known to be pregnant or breastfeeding 17. Patients who, in the judgement of the investigator, are not suitable for participation in this trial
