Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) diagnosis of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation, ineffective after strict conservative treatment for more than 3 months; (2) patients' symptoms, signs and imaging manifestations were compatible, and the responsible interspace was L4/5 or L5/S1 level; (3) there were no obvious contraindications to surgery in the preoperative examination.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) multiple segmental lesions all requiring surgery or recurrence after surgical treatment; (2) combined cardiopulmonary, hepatic, and renal functions with severe impairment; (3) complicated intervertebral space infections or postoperative wound infections; (4) hypersensitivity to dexamethasone and vitamin B12, or contraindications to their use; (5) incomplete clinical data, inability to cooperate with the follow-up visit, and refusal to sign the informed consent form.
