Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients undergoing phacoemulsification cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation combined with goniosynechialysis guided by gonioscopy; (2) Patients diagnosed with primary angle-closure (PAC); (3) Patients diagnosed with cataracts.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with a history of ocular surgery (except for laser peripheral iridotomy), trauma, iris or angle neovascularization, pseudoexfoliation, or iris or corneal abnormalities, as well as those with any form of secondary angle-closure glaucoma; (2) Any other ocular diseases (except for refractive errors); (3) Poor cooperation during preoperative examinations, leading to unreliable results or missing data (e.g., inability to tolerate gonioscopy or ultrasound biomicroscopy); (4) Continuous use of medications such as pilocarpine or prostaglandins that may affect the ciliary body morphology; (5) Eyes with more than two quadrants of peripheral anterior synechiae (PAS) and poor intraocular pressure control after medication treatment.
