Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Primary liver cancer: Single tumor with a diameter =5cm; multiple tumors (up to 3) with a maximum diameter =3cm; or liver metastases: the primary lesion is effectively controlled, without extrahepatic metastases or stable extrahepatic metastases, and the intrahepatic lesions are expected to be completely ablated; 2) Hepatocellular carcinoma located within the liver parenchyma; 3) Liver function classification Child-Pugh A/B; 4) First clinical diagnosis and no prior treatment received; 5) No invasion of major blood vessels such as portal vein or hepatic vein, and no extrahepatic metastases; 6) Platelet count =50×10^9/L; 7) Thermal ablation (radiofrequency ablation or microwave ablation) as the treatment method, with no history of liver resection during the entire treatment process; 8) Diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma according to the National Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Liver Cancer (2019 edition); 9) All enrolled patients are thoroughly informed of the examination procedures and purposes before the examination and sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Cholangiocarcinoma; 2) Preoperative liver function classified as Child-Pugh C; 3) Concurrent malignant tumors outside the primary lesion of liver metastases; 4) Patients who have undergone liver resection during treatment; 5) Incomplete preoperative CT enhanced images, intraoperative ablation images, and postoperative follow-up CT enhanced images; 6) Coagulation dysfunction that cannot be corrected; 7) Other contraindications specified in the "Expert Consensus on Standardized Clinical Application of Image-guided Liver Tumor Thermal Ablation Treatment Technology".
