18 Years to 45 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Age between 18 and 45 years; 2) Right-handed; 3) Pain localized between the lower margin of the thoracic cavity and the gluteal fold; 4) Duration of pain exceeds 3 months; 5) Weekly pain complaints occurring on more than 3 days, with pain intensity rated on the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) greater than 3; 6) Non-professional athletes.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) A history of mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression, or cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and heart disease; 2) Presence of lesions or open wounds on the hands; 3) Intake of opioid analgesics (oral dosage exceeding 100 milligrams daily), tetracyclic antidepressants; use of narcotic analgesics within the two weeks prior to testing; use of non-narcotic analgesics (e.g., NSAIDs) within 24 hours prior to testing; 4) Severe scalp injuries, extensive or open cranial injuries that prevent the placement of electrodes; 5) Frequent headaches or tinnitus, along with a history of alcohol or substance abuse; daily intake of over 8 units of caffeine (no more than one cup of coffee on the day of testing); smokers consuming more than 5 cigarettes daily; 6) Any history of lumbar surgery; presence of vertebral fractures, spinal stenosis, or radicular leg pain; 7) Confirmation or suspicion of pregnancy and lactation, as well as being in the menstrual period; 8) A confirmed history of epilepsy, family history of epilepsy, or a history of loss of consciousness lasting longer than 15 minutes.
