Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Experimental group: Children diagnosed with severe or profound sensorineural hearing loss (prelingual deafness), who received cochlear implants (CI) before the age of 6, with a follow-up age of =3 years and at least 1 year post-CI implantation. Normal hearing group: Children aged =3 years with normal hearing and speech development, capable of communicating in Mandarin Chinese, and with normal intelligence.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Experimental group: Children with inner ear malformations, those who have undergone re-implantation due to surgical complications, those with other neurological diseases, and those with recent cold symptoms. Normal hearing group: Children with recent cold symptoms.
