Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with obesity-related hypertension; 2. Age between 25 and 65 years; 3. Have lived in Chongqing for the past six months and have no plans to move or travel in the next three months; 4. Systolic blood pressure remains between 140-159 mmHg regardless of the medication used; 5. Agree to maintain the current medication and dosage throughout the study; 6. Commit to following the study diet for 5 weeks, ensuring to eat 21 study meals per week without additional snacks or beverages; 7. Able to eat at least one meal on-site every day; 8. Provide informed consent and are willing to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Clear non-primary hypertension, including secondary, refractory, malignant, or white coat hypertension, such as renal parenchymal hypertension, renovascular hypertension, pheochromocytoma, hypercortisolism, aortic stenosis, Takayasu arteritis, and hypertension caused by medications like ephedrine or thyroid hormones; 2. Clear non-primary obesity, including drug-induced obesity, Cushing's syndrome, primary hypothyroidism, polycystic ovary syndrome, hypothalamic obesity, and a history of taking antipsychotic drugs, glucocorticoids, etc.; 3. Patients with thyroid disease, cervical spondylosis, respiratory insufficiency, serious primary diseases involving the heart, brain, liver, kidneys, and hematopoietic system, malignant tumors, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with mental illnesses; 4. Diabetic patients; 5. Any changes in the dosage and/or type of oral antihypertensive or lipid-lowering drugs in the past three months; 6. Women consuming =8 drinks per week, and men consuming =15 drinks per week; 7. Allergic to common foods (e.g., eggs, seafood, peanuts, etc.); 8. Unable or unwilling to change their diet (e.g., vegetarians).
