60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Underwent radical esophageal cancer surgery in our thoracic surgery department and was diagnosed with primary esophageal cancer on postoperative pathology; (2) Age >60 years old; (3) ASA grade ?-?; (4) No combination of malignant tumors in other parts of the body; (5) No postoperative infections in other parts of the body, such as abdominal cavity infection, surgical incision infection and urinary tract infection; (6) complete pathologic and clinical data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Age < 60 years (2) Patients with active infections or other types of cancer or any coexisting hematologic disease that may affect RDW values (3) Combined malignant neoplastic disease other than esophageal cancer (4) Postoperative infections at other sites, such as abdominal cavity infections, surgical incision infections, and urinary tract infections (5) Having received neoadjuvant chemotherapy and neoadjuvant radiotherapy before surgery (6) Second surgery or emergency surgery; (7) Perioperative blood transfusion (8) Incomplete clinical data.
