Interventions

Intervention group:In the intervention group, an endotracheal tube is inserted into the tracheal with the bevel of the tube facing the left side of the patient.
Conventional group:In the conventional group, an endotracheal tube is inserted in a usual way, i.e., with the bevel of the tube facing the cephalad direction of the patient.

18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) A patient who is older than 18 years old and younger than 75 years old. (2) A patient who will take operation which needs one lung ventilation more than 30 minutes. (3) A patient who agrees to participate in this study and is able to fill out the consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) A patient who is younger than 18 years old or older than 75. (2) A patient who has defunct airway during the intubation. (3) A patient who has a history of thoracic surgery or surgical pleurectomy. (4) A patient who has traumatic diseases. (5) A patient who has any contraindications of placing the bronchial blocker. (6) A Patients with significant obstructive (estimated forced expiratory volume < 50%) or restrictive airway disease (forced expiratory volume < 75%).
