Interventions

isokinetic strength training group:4 weeks (3 times/week) of isokinetic strength training
Health education group:Patients in the health education group did not receive strength training before admission. After baseline assessment, a joint health education was given to this group of patient

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 40-75 years; 2. Knee osteoarthritis patients scheduled for total knee arthroplasty; 3. Knee pain > 3 months; 4. BMI < 35.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of arthroplasty in the lower limb; 2. History of injury and surgery in the past 6 months; 3. Receiving muscle strengthening or physical therapy in the past 6 months; 4. Other diseases that cause knee pain (such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout, etc.); 5. Other diseases that cause pain or dysfunction of the lower limbs (lumbar disc herniation, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, etc.); 6. Unable to walk short distances independently (walking distance less than 100m); 7. Severe cognitive impairment and communication disorders; 8. Knee valgus deformity >= 15°.
