Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with clinical diagnosis of periprosthetic infection, prosthetic complications such as loose prosthesis, prosthetic wear, and prosthetic dislocation were included in each group.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded from inclusion if they had received antibiotics within 2 weeks prior to laboratory or radiological evaluation; had undergone any reoperation on the prosthesis; and had a prosthesis implanted for treatment of an acute fracture.
