Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1: Full-term singleton pregnancies (>=37 weeks) with an ASA classification of II or less were scheduled for elective caesarean section under intrathecal anaesthesia. 2: aged 20-40 years. 3: able to provide voluntary informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1: Contraindications to intrathecal anaesthesia; 2: age 40 years; 3: hypersensitivity to norepinephrine or ondansetron; 4: pre-existing hypertension or hypertension in the current pregnancy, cardio-vascular disease; 5: long QT interval syndrome; 6: multiple pregnancies; 7: diabetes mellitus; 8: body weight 80 kg and height 175 cm; 9: significant coexisting maternal disorders, abruptio placenta, placenta praevia.
