Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients with a confirmed diagnosis of cirrhosis based on clinical, laboratory, imaging, and/or pathological results; (2) Patients presenting with acute gastrointestinal bleeding, confirmed by endoscopy as esophageal variceal bleeding (EVB); (3) Patients who have undergone endoscopic treatment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with primary liver cancer or other gastrointestinal malignancies, as these conditions or their treatments could cause gastrointestinal bleeding or affect the patients' survival; (2) Patients who have previously undergone transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS), splenic embolization, surgical splenectomy, and/or devascularization procedures for portal hypertension; (3) Patients with significant data missing or those lost to follow-up.
