Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) aged 12-18 years, (2) met the US DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for depression with a Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD 17th edition) score of =7 and a Self-Depression Scale (SDS) score of =53, (3) met the symptomatic criteria for at least 2 weeks, and (4) voluntarily enrolled in this study and signed an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) any other Axis I psychiatric disorders; (2) previous manic episodes or meeting criteria for mania; (3) somatic disorders (e.g., cardiovascular disease, endocrine system disorders, systemic infections, etc.) and immune system disorders; (4) abuse or dependence on psychoactive substances; (5) use of antidepressant medications for moxibustion group treatment or psychotherapy or physical therapy; (6) moxibustion sites that have an open wound, abscess, or a high fever and other inappropriate moxibustion; (7) pregnant or lactating women.
