Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age between 18 and 30 years (2) Body mass index range between 18.5 and 24.9. (3) Presence of retropatellar or peripatellar pain that has persisted for more than 6 weeks (4) Reproduction of retropatellar or peripatellar pain during squatting, stair climbing, prolonged sitting, or other functional activities that load the patellofemoral joint in the flexed position (5) A visual analog pain scale score of =3.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Rule out structural knee injuries such as tendon ligament, meniscus, iliotibial bundle, and goosefoot tendon injuries, synovitis of the knee, degenerative osteoarthritis of the knee, and a history of prior chronic knee pain. (2) Acute injury to other joint musculoskeletal structures of the lower extremity within 1 month that affects joint integrity and function. (3) Participation in lower extremity rehabilitation or systematic athletic training in the last six weeks.
