Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria were elderly patients (Age = 65 and < 90 years old) who underwent major (=2 h) thoracoscopic and abdominal non-cardiac surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) At that time, conventional surgeries that did not involve nerve block included median thoracotomy, mediastinal surgery, obstetrics and gynecology surgery, etc; 2) Surgery with general anesthesia combined with epidural analgesia; 3) Organ transplantation surgery; 4) Second surgery during this hospitalization period; 5) Preoperative presence of schizophrenia, epilepsy, Parkinson's syndrome, and myasthenia gravis; 6) Unable to communicate due to coma, severe dementia, or language barriers; 7) The condition is critical (NYHA heart function grade>III or LVEFIV, or expected survival<24 hours); 8) Transferred to the ICU due to serious adverse events such as massive bleeding, anaphylactic shock, and cardiac arrest during surgery; 9) Individuals with a history of alcohol consumption and currently using sedatives, hypnotics, or antihistamines; 10) The perioperative medical records are incomplete.
