Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) patients <20 years old who were diagnosed with ADDWR by clinical examination and MRI before surgery and underwent arthrodesis at our institution; (2) patients who had MRI taken preoperatively, immediately postoperatively (within 14 d after surgery), and 3 months postoperatively; (3) patients who underwent arthrodesis with CBCT preoperatively and 3 months postoperatively; (4) all patients who signed an informed consent for the surgery before the surgery; and (5) those who had good adherence.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Poor image quality, including blurred images, incorrect head position, etc., which cannot well show the positional relationship between the articular disc and condyle; (2) Patients with congenital developmental malformations, tumors and infections in the temporomandibular joint area, trauma to the maxillofacial region, autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, autolytic resorption of the condyle, and other disorders that may affect the growth and development of the jaws.
