18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) aged between 18-80 years; 2) patients with head and neck tumours with International Union Against Cancer 7th edition staging of T1-4N0-3M0 and receiving intensity-modulated radiation therapy for the first time; 3) no serious oral disorders and mouth opening =2 cm; 4) functional status score =60 (many antitumour treatments cannot be administered at <60).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) those who have received previous radiotherapy or chemotherapy for other tumours; 2) those with restricted opening, with an opening of <1cm; 3) those who have had radiotherapy oral positioning scaffolds fabricated by other routes; 4) those with oral mucositis; 5) patients with dysphagia due to other diseases; and 6) those who are unable to comply with the study procedures.
