Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study collected patients who needed to remove impacted mandibular wisdom teeth. The inclusion criteria were: 1. those who showed horizontal impacted teeth on panoramic films, completed root development, and had their root tips tightly attached, protruding, and passing through the mandibular nerve canal; 2. The patient has no neurological symptoms or medical history such as trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia; 3. The imaging of impacted wisdom teeth shows no abnormal bone density, including massive cysts and benign and malignant tumors; 4 The patient has no major systemic or hemorrhagic diseases and can tolerate tooth extraction surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. those who do not choose surgical extraction, including those who choose orthodontic traction and root removal; 2. The patient is unable to cooperate with follow-up due to personal reasons.
