Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: OP group: (1) age =40 years; (2) meet the 1999 World Health Organisation (WHO) diagnostic criteria for T2DM; (3) have an informed consent process and signed an informed consent form; (4) Measured BMD levels are at least 2.5 standard deviations below the peak bone mass of young people of the same sex and race in the normal population. NOP group: (1) age =40 years; (2) meet the 1999 World Health Organisation (WHO) diagnostic criteria for T2DM; (3) have an informed consent process and sign the informed consent form; (4) Bone density levels tested were not less than 2.5 standard deviations below the peak bone value of a normal population of young people of the same sex and race..

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with other types of diabetes mellitus except T2DM;(2) patients with cognitive and communication dysfunction; (3) patients with severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic, renal insufficiency or other serious diseases;(4) patients with prolonged bed rest and lack of exercise; (5) patients with other bone metabolism anomalies such as rickets, osteomalacia, osteosclerosis, etc.; (6) patients with long term use of medications affecting bone metabolism, such as hormones, Vitamin D, and calcitonin.
