Interventions

Study 1: control group:Supplementation with 18 g of placebo per day
Study1: low-dose group:Supplementation with 6 g of D-ribose + 12 g of placebo per day
Study 1: Medium-dose group:Supplementation with 12 g of D-ribose + 6 g of placebo per day
Study 1: high-dose group:Supplement with 18 gD-ribose daily
Study 2: Placebo group supplemented before exercise:Supplementation with 18 g of placebo 30 min before exercise
Study 2: Placebo supplementation was given before and during exercise:9 g of placebo was supplemented 30 minutes before exercise, and 3 g of placebo per 5 km during exercise for a total of 3 supplemen

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for studies 1 and 2 were as follows: ? Age 45-65 years old, 18.5= BMI <24; ? Have more than five years of experience in marathon sports, and run regularly more than 3 times a week; ?Have not taken any other supplements related to cardiovascular disease or sports nutrition in the three months prior to this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for both Study 1 and Study 2 were as follows: ? Have clear contraindications to exercise or other diseases that affect the exercise plan; ? Are taking D-ribose or related nutritional products containing D-ribose; ?expected to participate in a marathon during the intervention period.
