Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for people with dementia are: (1) Hong Kong citizens aged 60 or above, (2) being diagnosed with dementia, and (3) able to communicate in Cantonese. The inclusion criteria for family caregivers are: (1) Hong Kong citizens aged 18 or above, (2) currently providing care to a relative being diagnosed with dementia, and (3) the relative with dementia has enrolled in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria for people with dementia are: (1) those with serious visual or hearing impairment that hinder communication, or (2) those with serious psychiatric or behavioural problems which hinder their participation in the study or outcome assessment. The exclusion criteria for people with dementia are those who have less than one face-to-face interaction with the care recipient (the relative with dementia) per week.
