Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Those aged 18 years or older who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and have a fasting blood glucose = 9.0 mmol/L; (2)No clinical evidence of diabetic cardiovascular disease (diabetic cardiomyopathy), diabetic nephropathy, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic ophthalmopathy, diabetic lower-extremity arteriopathy, and diabetic foot, with background diabetic retinopathy and microalbuminuria allowed for inclusion; (3)Individuals with diabetes mellitus are more stable on treatment with non-insulin hypoglycemic agents (enteric, extended- release, and generic are all available) and do not need to change medications; (4) Not currently receiving insulin therapy; (5)No history of food allergies or intolerances, no history of hematemesis; (6) No medications affecting glucose tolerance in the last 3 months; (7) Able to tolerate fasting for at least 10h; (8) Contraception for women of childbearing age during the study period.

Exclusion criteria: (1) Special populations, such as pregnant women, lactating mothers, tumor patients (2) Individuals with abnormal liver and kidney function indicators during physical examination (3) Have a history of food allergies, intolerance, or dizziness, and lactose intolerance (4) Individuals with heavy physical activity and long-term sleep deprivation (5) Other diseases may impact blood glucose tolerance (6) Taking drugs other than hypoglycemic drugs that are known to affect glucose tolerance within the past 30 days (7) Medications that affect appetite and gastrointestinal function have been used in the past three months (8) Smoker (9) Unable to tolerate fasting for 10 hours
