Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) elderly people over 60 years old living in the community; (2) ASM/height2 as measured by BIA (male: <7.0 kg/m2; Women <5.7kg/m2), with or without Low physical performance (6-meter walk: <1.0 m/s), ie, morphometric sarcopenia; (3) Bone mineral density in the lumbar spine or/and femoral neck is less than or equal to -1 and -2.5 T-score, ie, osteopenia or osteoporosis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) secondary osteoporosis; (2) History of hip fracture; (3) bone anabolism and anti-absorption therapy; (4) glucocorticoid therapy >7.5 mg/d in the past two years; (5) Diseases and health problems (such as cognitive impairment) that prevent tai Chi training or resistance training; (6) Regular participation in Tai Chi or resistance training within 5 years (> 60 minutes/week); (7) Drinking more than 60 grams per day; (8) Absence of two weeks or more during the intervention period.
