Interventions
Control group:In the department, we provide standard EN nursing care.
Experimental group:Implement early enteral nutrition based on evidence for mechanically ventilated patients in the intervention group, comparing it to the control group.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. ICU stay for a minimum of 24 hours; 2. Age of 18 years or above; 3. Nutritional risk screening score = 3; 4. Needs gastric or enteral nutrition tube placement for enteral nutrition support therapy; 5. Experienced severe respiratory failure in the study, underwent mechanical ventilation with endotracheal intubation, and had mechanical ventilation lasting = 72 hours; 6. Mean arterial pressure of = 65 mmHg.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with active gastrointestinal bleeding, intestinal obstruction, or other contraindications to enteral nutrition. 2. Patients with head or brain injuries. 3. Patients post-abdominal surgery. 4. Patients with unique nutritional requirements based on different races and cultural considerations. 5. Patients who decline to participate in the study.
