Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.had experienced a "cardiac event" (e.g. coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, heart valve disease) within the past 6 months, either directly (i.e., patient) or indirectly (i.e., partner) 2. be in a couple relationship (i.e., married or in a social-ethical committed relationship) and have lived together for at least 6 months; 3. have basic reading and communication skills; 4. be willing to provide informed consent.
