Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) age 18-75 years; (2) experiencing the first unilateral supratentorial ischemic stroke; (3) stroke occurred less than 4 weeks before enrollment; and (4) moderate stroke with National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score of 5-15 points.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) unstable physical condition; (2) neurological disorders other than stroke; (3) inability to communicate due to severe language impairment; (4) inability to perform training because of psychological disorders; (5) cognitive impairments (mini-mental state examination (MMSE) < 24); (6) any contraindications for tDCS, such as epilepsy, metallic implants, cardiac pacemaker; and (7) drug or alcohol abuse, or pregnancy.
