Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Eighty consecutive elderly patients, aged =75 years, with ASA classification I to III, who were to undergo lower extremity, lower abdominal, or perineal surgery under subarachnoid block
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with contraindications to intralesional anesthesia; history of lumbar trauma or lumbar spine surgery; patients with scoliosis; allergy to ultrasound couplers; BMI >35 kg/m2; refusal to participate in the study, etc.
