Interventions

Botulinum toxin injection side:Botulinum toxin is injected intradermally at a density of 2u/cm2 for a total of 40-50u of Botulinum toxin at the edges and center of the balding area prior to surgery.
Saline injection side:Preoperative injection of equal amounts of saline at the edges and center of the balding area

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Patients who are 18 years of age or older ? Patients diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia who are eligible for hair transplantation. ? Patients with no history of treatment with known interfering botulinum toxin medications within the past 6 months. ? Patients who are willing and able to complete re-injection at 3 months and 6 months after the first injection and follow-up at 9 months after the first injection. Patients who are willing and able to complete re-injection at 3 months and 6 months after the first injection and follow-up at 9 months after the first injection ? Patients with normal Chinese or English reading and comprehension skills. ? Patients with normal Chinese or English reading and comprehension ability ? Patients who are not pregnant or breastfeeding.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Patients presenting with severe visceral, eye or skin diseases were excluded; ? Diseases of the neuromuscular system; ? Inflammation, infection or unhealed wounds of the skin around the head injection site; ? Systemic treatment with glucocorticoids or other immunosuppressive and immunomodulatory agents in the past 3 months
