Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for both groups: (1)participants aging over 65 years;(2)ability to give written informed consent. For the former elite athletes group, the additional inclusion criteria are (1)either an individual or team member from competition at an international, highest national or professional level; (2) no history of sports-related concussion.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The following exclusion criteria are applied: (1) Significant uncorrected visual and hearing impairment/disorder, or have difficulty in communicating or understanding instructions that would interfere with the assessment; (2) Conditions that could interfere with smooth hand movements; (3) A medical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other types of dementia, cerebrovascular disease, and other diseases(e.g., central nervous system infections, Parkinson's disease, neurological disorders such as traumatic brain injury, poisoning, metabolic disorders, etc.) that directly affect cognitive function; (4) Schizophrenia, depression or anxiety; (5) Use of medications (cholinesterase inhibitors, etc.) that may affect cognitive function within the last 6 months.
