Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria of diseases were formulated according to the diagnostic criteria of "China Expert Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of small cerebral vascular Diseases 2021" : (1) Onset of middle and old age; ? The main complaint was cognitive decline, progressive dysphagia, dysphagia, or fecal incontinence. (3) Head MRI showed newly small subcortical infarcts, lacunas of possible vascular origin, white matter hypersignaling of possible vascular origin, perivascular space, cerebral microhemorrhage, and cerebral atrophy. The inclusion criteria are as follows: ? Age 40-80 years old; ? High white matter signal and Fazekas score =2 points were confirmed by head MRI fluid attenuation inversion recovery sequence imaging; ? Agree to participate in the study and sign the informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? The patients with high white matter signal were diagnosed as non-vasogenic diseases, such as inflammation, metabolism or toxic encephalopathy; ? Carotid ultrasound, transcranial Doppler (TCD) and head MRA confirmed moderate to severe aortic stenosis; (3) Patients with serious medical diseases, such as atrial fibrillation or serious arrhythmia, and patients with heart, lung, liver, and kidney dysfunction or poor overall condition; Patients who have previously undergone brain surgery, carotid and intracranial arterial stenting, carotid endarterectomy, or thrombolytic therapy; Retinopathy with congenital eye disease, intraocular surgery, etc., evidence of glaucoma, vitreoretinal disease, and uveitis diagnosed in the past; ? Other situations deemed unsuitable for inclusion by the researchers.
