Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age=18 years old 2) Admitted to the Department of Intensive Care Medicine, Peking Union Medical College Hospital after cardiac surgery 3) Non-invasive, carotid Doppler ultrasonography was performed within 1 hour after admission to the ICU. 4) Participants agree and sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Age less than 18 years 2) Severe arrhythmia 3) Bilateral internal jugular vein catheterization 4) Carotid artery stenosis 5) Carotid artery occlusion
