Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. met the diagnosis of T2DM according to the Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in China; 2. aged >= 50 years; 3. education level>= 6 years; 4. having good visual and hearing function to undergo neuropsychological testing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. individuals with type 1 Diabetes Mellitus; 2. have definite mental and neurological disorders (e.g. schizophrenia, major depression, alcoholism, cerebral hemorrhage, massive cerebral infarction, brain tumor, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, metabolic or toxic encephalopathy, etc.).
