Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (i) patients who met the diagnostic criteria for cerebral infarction in the 2018 Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Acute Ischemic Stroke and for cerebral hemorrhage in the 2018 Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cerebral Hemorrhage and whose diagnosis of stroke was confirmed by head CT or MRI; (ii) those who had a family to take care of them; (iii) those who had an elementary school level of literacy or above; (iv) those whose hospital stay was expected to be =7 days; and (v) those who were clearly aware, were capable of communicating with the researchers, and who volunteered to participate in the present study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (i) those who are unable to cooperate due to deafness, mute, dementia, or cognitive impairment; (ii) patients with unstable vital signs, impaired consciousness, or with cognitive impairment; and (iii) combined severe cardiac, pulmonary, hepatic, and renal dysfunction.
