Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patients were diagnosed as unilateral primary nasolacrimal duct obstruction according to the patient's symptoms (epiphorrhea, purulent discharge) and lacrimal duct irrigation, and planned to undergo endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (EDCR). At the same time, the contralateral lacrimal duct of the same patient was unobstructed by irrigation without epiphoration symptoms. Twenty healthy volunteers, all over 18 years old, who had not used eye drops in the past 1 month, were enrolled in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: "Previous history of eye surgery, facial fractures, dry eye syndromes, acute conjunctivitis, allergic conjunctivitis, dry eye, eyelid ectropion, trichiasis, glaucoma or receiving anti-glaucoma medication, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, mental disorders, and other serious systemic diseases."
