50 Years to 80 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Aged between 50 and 80 years. (2) All AD patients meet the Chinese Alzheimer's Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines (2020 edition). (3) Patients who can cooperate to complete the collection of medical history, cognitive assessment, fundus examination, and multimodal imaging examination of the brain.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with a history of ocular diseases such as high myopia, macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, pseudopapilledema syndrome, optic nerve disorders, corneal scars, severe corneal opacities, etc. (2) Cognitive impairment caused by other reasons, such as frontotemporal dementia, Lewy body dementia, dementia due to traumatic brain injury, intracranial infections, intoxication, intracranial space-occupying lesions, endocrine system disorders, or any other cause of cognitive impairment. (3) Known neurologic or systemic chronic diseases that interfere with the neurovascular structure and function of the retina, such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, sarcoidosis, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, severe liver or kidney diseases, cardiovascular or metabolic disorders, etc. (4) Contraindications to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), such as having a cardiac pacemaker, claustrophobia, etc. (5) Patients with severe cognitive impairment or irreparable visual or hearing impairments who are unable to cooperate with fundus or MRI examinations.
