Sarcopenia

Interventions

IPC:Ischemic preconditioning intervention on the non-dominant leg, three times a week, with each session consisting of five cycles of pressurization and release at 200mmHg. To be completed at home.
Resistance training:The intervention is carried out using an ankle resistance exercise device. This device allows the user to perform ankle dorsiflexion and plantarflexion movements and offers adjusta

Age
60 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age between 60-75 years, in good health, with a BMI less than or equal to 30; 2) No lower limb injuries in the past year; 3) Free from diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and musculoskeletal disorders of the lower limbs that could affect the study results; 4) Not taking any medications that could impact the musculoskeletal system and vascular health; 5) Not currently participating in, nor planning to engage in, any regular physical exercise programs at the time of selection; 6) No contraindications for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI); 7) Blood pressure below 160/100.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Diseases of the lower limb musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, or recent lower limb injuries; 2) Currently participating in regular physical exercise or planning to engage in regular physical exercise programs; 3) Various objective reasons that may prevent the completion of the intervention and testing.
