Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for Study 1: 1 Single maxillary central incisor cannot be retained and requires implant restoration; 2. The bone plate on the lip side of the extraction socket is intact, and the usable bone height at the bottom of the extraction socket is/>5mm; 3. The occlusal relationship is stable, and the covering relationship is basically normal; 4. The patient has good compliance. Inclusion criteria for Study 2: 1. Edentulous patients aged 18–80 years; 2. Accept zygomatic implantation surgery; 3. Loaded at least 2 years; and 4. Oral hygiene recall.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for Study 1: 1 Uncontrolled systemic diseases; 2. Pregnant or under 18 years old; 3. Poor local conditions in the oral and maxillofacial regions, such as severe mouth opening restriction, night bruxism, severe smoking, and poor maintenance of oral hygiene; 4. The infected tooth root tip is in the acute active phase; 5. Patients undergoing orthodontic treatment. Exclusion criteria for Study 2: 1. Severe systemic diseases, such as uncontrolled diabetes, serious cardiovascular disease; 2. Acute and chronic oral infections; 3. Smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day; and 4. Incomplete imaging data for measurement.
