Interventions

Whey protein group:Perform resistance training for 8 weeks, 3 times per week, with 30 g of whey protein supplementation immediately after training on training days.
Control group:Perform resistance training for 8 weeks, 3 times per week, with 30 g of placebo (maltodextrin) supplementation immediately after training on training days.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age 18-24 years old 2.No regular exercise training habits (less than or equal to 2 times/week) in the six months prior to this study 3.No nutritional supplements such as protein powders, muscle building powders, or vitamins, as well as hormonal drugs in the three months prior to the start of this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Have a clear contraindication to exercise or other medical condition that interferes with the exercise program 2.Adhere to a vegetarian diet 3.Have an allergy to whey or casein protein
