18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) 18 years < age < 65 years; b) one-sided ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke; c) first episode, 1 month < post-stroke< 24 months; d) ability for ambulation with or no assistance (Functional ambulation category = 3) for at least 2 min; e) ability to carry out a 3-step command communicate basic needs; f) modified Ashworth Scale score for muscle tones at lower limbs < 2; sufficient passive joint range of motion in affected ankles for safe ambulation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) severe cognitive impairment; b) severe musculoskeletal, cardiac, neurological, and other comorbidities affecting mobility; c) severe aphasia; d) uncontrolled hypotension/hypertension; e) severe peripheral artery disease; (f) recruitment in other clinical trial; (g) open wounds or broken skin at the lower extremities.
