Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients with GPP aged >=6 years. GPP diagnostic criteria based on definitions developed by the Global Delphi Consensus; 2. Meet the criteria for an acute exacerbation of moderate-to-severe GPP: Generalized Pustular Psoriasis Physician's Global Assessment (GPPGA) total score >=3, new pustules or exacerbation of pustules, GPPGA pustule subscore >=2, and erythema and pustules greater than 5% of the body surface area; 3. Informed consent is acquired,and all patients agree to participate in this study. The inclusion criteria for the healthy control population were people without major medical problems and no significant abnormalities in physiological indicators, physical examination, or laboratory tests.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Drug-induced acute generalized eruptive pustulosis (AGEP); patients without pustules or with pustules confined to psoriatic plaques; active bacterial or fungal infections; and prior use of IL-17 inhibitors. Exclusion criteria for the healthy control population included: having a systemic inflammatory disease or autoimmune disease; having a history of systemic infections in the last 1 month, during which medications (e.g., antibiotics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc.) that may affect the immune system or the inflammatory response were used; taking medications, such as probiotics or prebiotics, by mouth in the last 1 month; and having a psychiatric disorder or being pregnant.
