Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Children admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of the First Hospital of Jilin University, diagnosed with pediatric acute liver failure and treated with plasma exchange, between January 2015 and May 1, 2023. Diagnostic criteria for pediatric acute liver failure: ? Children without a history of chronic liver disease who develop liver damage, and severe liver dysfunction occurs within 8 weeks of clinical liver disease onset; ? Coagulation disorders that cannot be corrected with vitamin K1 injection; ? Prothrombin time (PT) > 20s or International Normalized Ratio (INR) > 2.0, without hepatic encephalopathy; or with hepatic encephalopathy, PT > 15s or INR > 1.5. (2) Age between 28 days and 16 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with incomplete information. (2) Individuals who discontinued treatment midway.
